AI needs more regulation, not less

In a recent report from The Brookings Institution’s Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology (AIET) Initiative part of “AI Governance,” a series that identifies key governance and norm issues related to AI and proposes policy remedies to address the complex challenges associated with emerging technologies, Mark McCarty argues in favor of more AI regulation.

Criticizing the laissez-faire philosophy and analyzing the White House AI Guidance, he calls for a new proactive legislation.
